Shawn O'Brien is a seasoned pharmaceutical executive currently serving as a Chairman of the Board at SFA Therapeutics, Inc.  He also serves as a Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of Mayne Pharma and Chairman of Key BioPharma Partners, providing C-suite advice on commercialization, drug development, and regulatory strategy for biopharmaceutical companies.  Shawn's extensive executive experience includes serving as CEO & Chairman of the Board at Genomind,  President & CEO of Cipher Pharmaceuticals, founder and leadership positions at several biotechnology companies, including AltheRx, Inc. and Profectus BioSciences, Inc.

His career includes significant tenure at AstraZeneca, where he held multiple vice president positions, including VP Commercial Operations, Emerging Brands, and VP & Head of Respiratory & Inflammation Business Unit. He also served as Seroquel Global Leader, demonstrating his capability in managing major pharmaceutical brands.

Shawn's commitment to healthcare extends beyond corporate leadership, as evidenced by his service on various boards, including a seven-year tenure as Board Director at Crozer-Keystone Health System) and his ongoing role as Advisory Board Member for the Greater Philadelphia Life Sciences Congress.​
