Dr. Feitelson is a distinguished professor at Temple University with over 40 years of expertise in viral hepatitis and liver cancer research. His international influence is evidenced by his visiting professorships at four universities in China. Dr. Feitelson's ongoing research at Temple University focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of NASH/MASH and liver cancer.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Feitelson served as Professor of Pathology, Anatomy and Cell Biology at Thomas Jefferson University, where he directed the Laboratory for Molecular Microbiology. During his career, he had the privilege of working at Fox Chase Cancer Center with Nobel laureate Dr. Baruch S. Blumberg, who won the 1976 Nobel Prize in Medicine for discovering the hepatitis B virus.

He was awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine, earned his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
