James Kirwin is an accomplished pharmaceutical executive with over 25 years of experience in clinical development operations and strategic leadership.  Currently serving as COO and Senior VP of Clinical Development at SFA Therapeutics, he oversees clinical operations, project management, clinical science, safety, IT, HR, and manufacturing.

Prior to his current role, James served as Head of Global Clinical Operations at Arvinas which entered into a development collaboration with Pfizer worth more than $2B.  He held executive positions at several biotechnology companies, including Iterum Therapeutics plc., Intrexon, Intercept Pharmaceuticals and ​Pfizer/Wyeth.

Under his leadership, more than 30 drugs across multiple platforms in various therapeutic areas have been approved for the market.
